A First Website for a First Business
Client: GlossVault
Contact: Oliver
Project: Service-Based Shopify Build
The Challenge
Oliver was starting his first business, detailing and vehicle storage, and needed a website that did one job properly: let people find his services and get in touch.
Starting out, the temptation is to overbuild. Too many pages, features nobody uses, a site that takes longer to finish than the business takes to launch. What Oliver actually needed was something clean, credible and live, that looked like the standard of work he delivers and made enquiring easy.
There's a second problem specific to service businesses on Shopify. The platform is built to sell products, and detailing and storage aren't products. The build had to work around that rather than force his business into a shopping cart.

The Process
We kept the scope tight and got him live, with a site that could grow later rather than one that tried to do everything on day one.
Key Steps:
-
Service-Based Shopify Build
Set the store up around services rather than product listings, so the structure fits how the business actually works and how customers actually enquire. -
Brand Application
Used Oliver's own assets throughout the theme so the site looked like his business from the first visit, not like a template with a logo dropped in the corner. -
Custom Forms & Enquiry Section
Built custom enquiry forms so leads come through cleanly with the information Oliver needs to quote, rather than a generic contact form that starts a five-message back and forth. -
Domain Connection & Launch
Connected the domain and took the site live.
The Result
GlossVault launched with a site that reflects the standard of the work. Enquiries have been consistent since it went live, and Oliver hasn't needed to change or rebuild it, which is the point. A site that's right for the business from the start doesn't need a facelift six months later.
For anyone starting out, that's the brief we work to. Get live, look credible, make it easy for people to reach you, and don't spend money on things the business doesn't need yet.
