The Challenge

Jack Louii, the owner of PRAX Hair, approached By Shade to create a new logo for his barbershop in Los Angeles. He envisioned a design that was not only eye-catching but also highly versatile—one that could seamlessly transition into merchandise and branding elements throughout his shop. The Process

Jack provided some excellent reference ideas that helped shape the creative direction. These references highlighted his vision for a clean yet bold aesthetic that aligned with his brand's identity. With these insights, we set out to design a logo that would capture the essence of PRAX Hair while ensuring it worked across multiple applications, from signage to apparel.
