The Challenge
After the rapid sell-out of Collection 01, Stay Driven C2 needed to do more than follow up success — it needed to deepen the brand’s identity.
C2: Dreams & Heroes was built from the era that made a generation fall in love with German cars: the golden age of late ’80s, ’90s, and early-2000s motorsport. A time when touring cars wore cigarette liveries, pit lanes smelled of hot brakes, and road cars were homologated weapons built with purpose, not polish.
The challenge was to distill this nostalgia-heavy era into a modern, wearable collection — one that felt authentic to motorsport history while still resonating with today’s automotive culture. The collection also needed to live beyond garments, extending into campaign storytelling and real-world community activation.
The Process
By Shade led Stay Driven C2 as a fully integrated end-to-end project, ensuring that concept, product, and execution all moved in lockstep.
Every decision — from design references to finishing details — was made to reinforce the narrative of Dreams & Heroes.

Concept & Moodboarding
Built the creative direction around the glory days of DTM and German touring car racing, anchoring the collection in motorsport heritage rather than trend-led design. -
Design & Planning
Developed the full C2 design suite, including the hero E46 CSL–inspired T-shirt, translating race-era cues into clean, timeless graphics. -
Sampling & Sourcing
Managed garment sampling, blank sourcing, and fit refinement to ensure the product felt substantial, considered, and premium. -
Production & Finishing
Oversaw printing, custom labels, packaging, and finishing touches to deliver a cohesive and elevated final product. -
E-Commerce & Campaign Support
Assisted with e-commerce photography and campaign imagery, ensuring the visual storytelling matched the collection’s motorsport roots. -
Community Activation
Helped plan and execute a pop-up car meet tied to the release — grounding the collection in real culture, not just digital marketing.
The Result
Stay Driven C2 delivered a collection that felt emotionally grounded, culturally relevant, and commercially sound. The Dreams & Heroes narrative resonated strongly with the audience, reinforcing Stay Driven’s position as a brand built on automotive heritage rather than surface-level aesthetics.


Importantly, C2 remained profitable for the client, proving that a deeply considered, end-to-end approach can deliver both creative impact and commercial success.
