The Challenge

The Oodie, known for its iconic oversized wearable blankets, was looking to expand into a premium loungewear range. They came to By Shade with an existing tech pack and sought expert advice on material selection and sourcing to ensure the garments embodied luxury and comfort. Additionally, they required high-quality samples to be sewn locally in Los Angeles for review and approval before moving into production.

By Shade was tasked with assisting in material advisory and sourcing, as well as producing precise samples that adhered to the provided tech pack specifications.

The Process

Our role was to refine and execute The Oodie’s vision through material expertise and meticulous craftsmanship.

Key Deliverables:

1. Material Advisory and Sourcing:

   • Advised The Oodie team on the best materials for their premium loungewear range, focusing on luxury, durability, and comfort.
   • Sourced high-quality, sustainable fabrics milled in Los Angeles, ensuring the materials met their standards for both feel and function.

2. Sample Production:

   • Sewed detailed and accurate garment samples locally in Los Angeles, following the specifications outlined in the tech pack.
   • Ensured precision in stitching, finishing, and overall construction to match the brand’s vision for high-end loungewear.

3. Collaboration and Support:

   • Worked closely with The Oodie team throughout the sampling process, providing feedback and implementing refinements to align the samples perfectly with their goals.

The completed samples were delivered to The Oodie, embodying the luxurious and comfortable feel they envisioned for their premium loungewear collection. By Shade’s material expertise and craftsmanship ensured the garments were production-ready, setting a strong foundation for scaling the range.
